Let Me Know For Real
The whole identity in one place — the mark, the five-colour spectrum, the typefaces and their licences, the motion, the words and the rules — with every asset ready to download. Press, bloggers and friends of the project all shop from the same shelf the app itself is drawn from.
The mark
One figure, eight nodes, one signal at its centre — a person made of connected nodes, the shape of an archive: who you are, and everything that reaches you. Only the nodes carry colour; the lines stay neutral so the figure reads on any surface. Below is every file that ships, rendered live and downloadable straight from this page.
Colour
Five stops, left to right: teal into blue into violet into fuchsia into pink. The app’s chrome stays near-monochrome so this spectrum can do all the talking. Click any value to copy it.
Neutrals
The two intermediate figure tints — #8b5cf6 (right arm) and #d946ef (right hip) — complete the seven node colours. In light mode the site deepens each spectrum stop slightly for contrast; artwork should use the canonical values above. The full palette, gradients, figure geometry and motion spec are published as machine-readable data in tokens.json.
Type
Four faces, all under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 — free to embed, redistribute and use inside rendered artwork with no attribution requirement.
Let me know, for real.
On-device analysis
Your archive, decoded on your own device.
What the export actually remembers.
Motion
The mark builds itself: the lines draw in, the nodes settle, and the signal core pulses once — like a message arriving. Motion is decoration, never a requirement: every animation has a static final frame, and with reduced motion requested the frame simply appears. Brand duration is 800 ms on a cubic-bezier(0.4, 0, 0.2, 1) ease.
Voice & naming
Warm, knowing, a little unhurried. The product reads your own data back to you and tells you the truth about it — the copy never sells hope.
- The name. LMKFR — spell it out on first mention: Let Me Know For Real. Not an acronym, a question you should ask of every account you scroll past.
- The input. Always named factually: your Instagram data export, from Meta’s own Download Your Information.
- No hype. No “AI”, no growth-speak, no leaderboard energy. Every number is deterministic math over the owner’s own export.
“Drop your export. Everything happens here, on your device.”
“This account is home to one archive — yours. Curious about another Instagram? Create a new account and give it its own home.”
Using the mark
The assets on this page are here to be used — in write-ups, directory listings, coverage and kind nods. A few rules keep that use honest.
Do
- Give the mark room to breathe — big or small, never cramped.
- Use the approved variants exactly as they ship, on the tile they were built for.
- Link the name to lmkfr.com, the only official site.
- Describe the product factually: an on-device analyzer for your own Instagram export.
Don’t
- Recolour, restretch, redraw or add effects to the mark.
- Place the bare figure on a busy photograph — use a tile.
- Imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation by Instagram or Meta.
- Use the name or logo as the branding of your own product or fork.
Trademark & official sources
LMKFR and the LMKFR logo are trademarks of this project, used as an unregistered (common-law) mark, indicated by ™. This is plain language, not legal advice.
- The code is open; the name is not. The engine and the local-first app are licensed AGPL-3.0-or-later. A copyright licence grants no rights to the trade name or trademark — you may reuse the code, but not brand a derivative work with our name or logo.
- Always fine, no permission needed: truthful references (“a fork of LMKFR”, “based on LMKFR”), reviews and commentary, and linking to the official project without implying endorsement.
- Needs permission: using the name or logo as the name or branding of your own product, service or organisation; any use that suggests your project is LMKFR or is endorsed by it; modifying or recolouring the logo; merchandise.
The only official sources are lmkfr.com and the official repository. Anything else claiming to be LMKFR is not ours. Confusing or fraudulent use — report it to security@lmkfr.com.

The best way to show the brand
Is the product itself.
